Donate for girl child education to help the future of India

We have heard this about a zillion times – If you teach a boy, you educate an individual; but if you teach a girl, you educate a community? But it falls on deaf ears most of the time. According to the Educational Statistics report released by MHRD in 2018, there is a wider disparity in literacy rates of males and females in rural India than in urban India. In urban India, the difference in literacy rate between males and females is 8.9 %, whereas, for rural India, it is 15.5 %. You can help decrease this rate! Would you help donate for girl child education?

We fully know and understand how crucial education is for a girl child, and yet we don't take it seriously enough! This isn't a drawback for the girl child alone; it is, in fact, a disadvantage for the nation as a whole. Can you imagine what can be achieved just by educating a girl child? Educating a girl child has a positive spiral effect; it has a long-lasting impact on society and human development. Listing a few of them below:

a) There is an imperative correlation between imparting basic education to a girl child and the economic development of a nation. Human development is closely linked to this equation as well.

b) Educated girls, who eventually become mothers, are more likely to educate their children too, thus passing on and multiplying benefits, which in turn will have its effects on the society, largely. They are also able to provide their children with better nourishment.

c) Education has a constructive influence on a girl child's life, especially when it comes to the general understanding of existing scenarios ranging from health, current affairs, economic development, societal concerns, etc. and their responsibility towards these aspects as a learned individual.

d) Girls who have received formal education are more likely to enhance the health and prosperity of their community by making informed decisions against faulty belief systems, like child marriage and subsequent pregnancy, which affects maternal and infant mortality rates.

Do you now understand how the education of a girl child impacts the functioning of an entire nation? The government too recognizes its importance and has launched the Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao program in its endeavor to educate the girl child along with programs like Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, which aims for the participation of girls in elementary education and Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas, which provides girls with residential upper primary schools.
Along with supporters who donate for girl child education, NGOs like Save the Children work incessantly to provide education to children through its many programs. While they have set up Mobile Learning Centres in Kolkata and Mumbai, they have also provided children in emergency conditions with education kits through its Temporary Learning Centres. They also liaise with local communities to form Children Groups and School Management Committees to ensure the development of children in those communities.
Come forward to donate for girl child education today!
